MUA Lipstick Swatches

(L-R - 13, 3, 6, 7, 16, 15)

Apologies for the slow posting recently! The ol' college and work load is a wee bit overwhelming at the moment to say the least! Unfortunately that sometimes means blogging has to sit on the backburner at times =(

BUT! I recommend you get you butt to Superdrug or onto the MUA website because these fabulous lipsticks are just £1! That's right! No waiting for payday! (If your purse is really struggling, check the sofa..)

They're really pigmented, long-wearing and actually quite moisturizing. A complete bargain!

Plus - they ship internationally!

Swatch: Soap and Glorys "Glow All Out" Highlighter

Here is an offering from Soap and Glory, a champagne-pink powder highlighter or a "luminizing radiance face powder" as they call it!

The packaging is lovely, although the cardboard feeling packaging lets it down a lil', the mirror on the inside of the top-side saves the day. The 3D soap and glory logo embossed onto the product itself just make it that bit special.

The highlight itself is very light in texture and in colour but I just can't help but like it. I wouldn't say it a must-have (just yet!) but if you have £11 spare, head over to Boots!

Swatch: Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Exposed

I love this product, it's one of those blushes you reach for when you can't decide what to wear. It's a pink-nude but sides more on the darker/plum side of nude. I wouldn't say it wears for the 12 hours Tarte claims but I do get a good eight hours use before it fades.

The packaging is well made, sturdy, with a very decent mirror on the inside lid.

I would love to try out more of these blushes but Tarte unfortunately doesn't like Europe *sigh*

I managed to buy this new and boxed off eBay but be careful if you decide to do the same!

Revlon Lip Butter Swatches

(L-R - Candy Apple, Lollipop, Peach Parfait, Creme Brulee, Strawberry Shortcake and Pink Lemonade)

SO, a little late on the lip butter swatches but hey! there here!

Pink Lemonade is by far my favorite and a handbag staple, I probably have one in the car too!

You don't need me to tell you how popular and brilliant these lipsticks are. Pigmented, moisturizing and in an array of colors to choose from, you're bound to find your lip butter love.

Available at Boots and Superdrug for £7.99 but keep your eyes out for 3 for 2 offers that happen on a regular basis!

Swatch: Benefit Rockateur

Rockateur is the latest offering from Benefit and considering the "Perfect10" blush/bronzer (my personal favorite) was discontiued to make way for this blush, I'm expecting great things!

(Apologies for lighting, I tried my best to get it true to colour!)

It comes in the traditional Benefit blush box, complete with mirror and brush making it perfect for your make-up bag.

I think the design is beautiful! I really don't want it to fade!

This blush surprised me to be honest, it look quite pink in the box but actually comes off quite peachy. I love that it's build-able.Wear wise, I don't want to give an estimate just yet as it's a brand new product but I'd expect it to be similar to the wear of other Benefit blushes.

Priced at £23.50, it's available at Benefit but personally, I'd go to Boots and collect some points!

Swatch: Maybelliene Baby Lips

The long awaited lip product has arrived from the US and is flooding the UK. Hurrah!!

Now you don't need me to tell you how fabulous these lip balms are (there was a waiting a list on boots for a reason!) but they really are moisturising and give a lovely tint to the lips.

I picked up "Cherry Me" (left), "Pink Punch" (centre) and "Peach Kiss" (right)

The scent/tastes are very delicate and pleasant and for £2.99, these are a complete bargain!

(same as above)

Need more proof that these are a true bargain?

Look how much product you get!!

Well done Maybelline!

MUA "Undress Your Skin" Highlighter

My most reached highlighter recently goes to MUAs "Undress Your Skin". I usually reach for MACs "Soft and Gentle" but after spotting this £2 BARGAIN I had to give it a try. It's lovely. Very subtle. A slight pink sheen and the product itself looks beautiful. I find it lasts just as long as my usual face powder. LOVE!

Give it a try! Pick it up on the MUA website or at Superdrug =]

Review & Swatch - Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Lemonade

LOOK at this beauty!! I instantly swarmed onto this new shade and after I swatched it on the back of my hand, I announced to the rest of Boots that this lipstick was going home with me. It's just beautiful and I find the colour lingers, even after the balm has gone.

Purdy.

Butter London - No More Waity, Katie

I've got to be honest, I didn't like it. Application was two coats or so but it was off by the end of the day. Whether this was down to my base/top coat (China Glaze First and Last) I don't know, but I haven't really experienced this before. This is a glitter polish though, and we all know what I pain the butt they can be. I'm gonna let Butter London off with this one.

Review and Swatches - NARS Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil

I was in the Trafford Centre with my best pal when we spotted the advertisement for these pencils and we both zoned in towards it going "OoOooooOoooh!"

I bought two the other night, Happy Days and Frivolous. I prefer a paler/pink/beige lip, but I'm starting to branch out into more colour, so Happy Days seemed perfect to do this with and Frivolous was first on the list anyway!

A fresh pink coral infused with gold shimmer that’s as flirty and fun-loving as the TV sitcom it’s name is inspired by.

A flirty and frothy iridescent seashell pink, that is anything but serious.

(Apologies for the photo quality and the hair dye on desk!)

It really is a lipgloss pencil. The shine is lovely on both and really does feel as if its conditioning your lips. Both have a soft sparkle and although the pencil may help when it comes to application, the product itself in pencil-form is VERY delicate.

I love the product itself but as a pencil, it becomes a nightmare, as I found out.

This make me have a sad =[ After paying £17.50 each I'd expect a product to hold up during application!

Product: 7/10
Ease Of Use: 3/10
Packaging: 2/10 - I love the idea of a lipgloss pencil but it doesn't work with this. I know NARS is considered a premium brand but is there really any need for THAT much cardboard?!

Overall: 4/10 - Love it and hate it. I will use these pencils but I won't be re-purchasing.
