Swatch: Essie - Ballet Slippers

I've done just one coat of Ballet Slippers for this swatch. It can go on quite streaky but this can easily be remedied with another coat (also the bottle I received had the older brush - the newer brush is much wider and makes application so much easier!).

Ballet Slippers is so amazingly popular and I understand why. It's very simple and natural. Lubbly!

OPI 'Pirates of the Caribbean" Collection

Nail polish & Pirates of the Caribbean? Yes Please!

I picked up the mini set which is from left to right: Skull & Glossbones, Planks a Lot, Sparrow Me the Drama (I love this dusty rose/pink, very tempted to get the larger bottle!) and Stranger Tides.

I also picked up 'Mermaid Tears' I really loved this colour but the family disagreed with me! (Thanks to the lovely girl in LUSH who also fell in love with it too!)

Seriously? How can you not love? All the colours took two coats but I can't really say much for wear as I've been changing my nail colour way too much!

Butter London - No More Waity, Katie

I've got to be honest, I didn't like it. Application was two coats or so but it was off by the end of the day. Whether this was down to my base/top coat (China Glaze First and Last) I don't know, but I haven't really experienced this before. This is a glitter polish though, and we all know what I pain the butt they can be. I'm gonna let Butter London off with this one.

Random Ramble

Okay, not posted in a while but I must admit, I'm not too bothered at the moment as I know I'm pretty much the only person in the world reading this blog. And I'm okay with that really, I just want this to be more of a hobby and exploration of new products (Okay Melissa, you're talking to yourself again..)

I have bought bits and bobs over the last two weeks or so. I'll take some photos during the day (the lighting here is pants) but my main rave has been Butter London nail polishes. LOVE! I'd really like a nude though.. but a nude like OPI's Sweetheart (maybe) with a lil' tiny teenie bit of shimmer. I don't know just yet. Meh.

I'm attempting to sort out my nail polishes at the moment. Finding a storage solution where I can keep all my polishes upright and together is currently on the agenda and also I had the brain wave of painting a false nail with colour and labelling it (although currently they're stuck on the bottles with blue tac - major eyesore!)

Next to buy (or in the near future) is the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine lipstick. I don't know why but it's calling to me.

Gutting news: the cold train is on it's way - achoo wooo! Hopefully I'll be able to get my arse into gear soon and put some more informative posts up and update (hopefully someone) on my shopping antics.

Toodles x

Butter London

I've heard so many amazing reviews about Butter London nail polishes that I've had to order some! I was really surprised to discover its actually based in the US, not the UK. I've ordered Come To Bed Red, British Racing Green, All Hail The Queen, The Full Monty (uber excited for this one!) and of course, the limited edition No More Waity Katie (well I thought it would be a nice reason to do my nails for the bank holiday wedding!).

I've bought some other bits and bobs this week so I'll be doing a haul post soon, but I'm hoping my next post(ish) will be swatches of these Butter London purchases!
